Simplified Proposal Submission Process
June 18, 2017
Dash has plenty of money available to it this month, but so far, not many proposals have been stepping up to put that money to work. Ideally, Dash would have some full-time teams who are constantly working to deploy the budget in the most effective and scalable ways possible. For example, in addition to Dev Core, perhaps there should be a Marketing Core, whose focus is launching ongoing tracked marketing campaigns. A Marketing Core team would take undue pressure off the R&D team, and it would offer Dash a more cohesive forward looking strategy than simply waiting and hoping for the right offers to come along.
In the meantime though, there are ways we can help attract talent by making the proposal submission process easier. An easier submission process will mean more proposals to choose from and more competition over quality and price.
If you've ever been through the proposal submission process, you've seen that it's fairly complicated for the typical user. It involves generating complex looking code, pasting confusing commands into the Dash client's "debug" window, then copying and pasting more commands with resulting transaction codes. If you make one small error, your non-refundable 5 DASH submission fee vanishes into thin air.
DashTreasury.org now offers a proposal submission feature that cuts out all the technical barriers. Submitting a proposal is now as simple as writing up your proposal description and sending some coin to a QR code with a mobile wallet. Our server interfaces with the blockchain to execute all the necessary submission commands, completely eliminating all the confusing "debug console" requirements.
To further encourage proposal submissions, we are also offering to pay 0.10 DASH of each proposal submission fee ourselves*.
If you've had a proposal idea in mind, but the cost or complexity in posting it has held you back, we hope these features encourage you to come forward with your idea.
* We reserve the right to modify or discontinue this offer at any time.
